Professor Peter Eze

Professor Peter Eze

Professor Peter Eze is an accomplished environmental scientist and soil science expert with extensive academic and research experience across Africa and Europe. He is an Associate Professor of Environmental Soil Science at the Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST), where he is actively engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research in Earth and Environmental Sciences, and community outreach initiatives.

Professor Eze is also an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Potsdam, Germany, where he serves as a Visiting Scientist, contributing to advanced research in environmental and soil sciences within an international academic setting.

He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Town, with prior degrees including an M.Phil. in Soil Sciences from the University of Ghana and a BSc in Agronomy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His postdoctoral research at the University of the Witwatersrand focused on fluvial geomorphology and soil systems, further strengthening his interdisciplinary expertise.

Professor Eze’s work spans soil science, environmental sustainability, geomorphology, and ecosystem processes, with a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, mentoring students, and addressing environmental challenges through research-driven solutions.
